چکیده
Cloud cavitation causes nontrivial energy concentration and acoustic shielding in liquid its control is a long-standing challenge due to complex dynamics of bubble clouds. We present framework study closed-loop through feedback. While previous approaches have used empirical thresholding, we employ model-based state estimation coherent based on theory high-performance computing. Using pulsed ultrasound setup, demonstrate set-point the pulse-repetition frequency (PRF) modulate near solid target over $O(100)$ s. identify quasiequilibrium correlation between PRF an optimal minimize target. This can be readily scaled up by enhanced sensing computational power.

On acoustic cavitation of slightly subcritical bubbles
The classical Blake threshold indicates the onset of quasistatic evolution leading to cavitation for gas bubbles in liquids. When the mean pressure in the liquid is reduced to a value below the vapor pressure, the Blake analysis identifies a critical radius which separates quasistatically stable bubbles from those which would cavitate. In this work, we analyze the cavitation threshold for radia...
متن کاملThe acoustic emissions of cavitation bubbles in stretched vortices.
Pairs of unequal strength, counter-rotating vortices were produced in order to examine the inception, dynamics, and acoustic emission of cavitation bubbles in rapidly stretching vortices. The acoustic signatures of these cavitation bubbles were characterized during their inception, growth, and collapse. Growing and collapsing bubbles often produced a sharp, broadband, pop sound. The spectrum of...
متن کاملDynamics of laser-induced cavitation bubbles
Single cavitation bubble luminescence induced by laser in contrast to single bubble sonoluminescence has no need in a sound field for a strong collapse and for light emission. The cavitation bubbles are produced by focused laser light and make the single strong collapse. As shown experimentally, the number of emitted photons from cavitation luminescence is much greater than it was observed in s...
متن کاملBubbly Cloud Dynamics and Cavitation
In many cavitating liquid flows, when the number and concentration of the bubbles exceeds some critical level, the flow becomes unsteady and large clouds of cavitating bubbles are periodically formed and then collapse when convected into regions of higher pressure. This phenomenon is known as cloud cavitation and when it occurs it is almost always associated with a substantial increase in the c...
متن کاملLuminescence from acoustic-driven laser-induced cavitation bubbles
The influence of a continuous sound field on the first oscillation cycle and on the cavitation luminescence of a transient laser-induced bubble is investigated experimentally. The variation of the collapse phase is predicted with a simple numerical model and compared with experiment. Bubble dynamics is mainly influenced by three parameters: the phase of bubble generation, the size of the bubble...
